About
Art Therapy

Art Therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses different art materials to help one increase self-awareness, develop coping skills, and enhance cognitive abilities. It is a three way relationship building process with the client, the artwork, and the therapist in a private and respectful environment. 

Art therapy session can be provided to an individual or group setting in a variety settings, such as residential, educational and community based organizations. The aim of art therapy is to increase self understanding, improve mental wellness, gain personal insight, enhance emotional coping skills or recovery power, and encourage personal growth through the process of art making and the reflection on the artworks.

ChrisB is a registered Psychotherapist in Ontario and registered Art Psychotherapist in the UK. Her philosophy of practice is to provide a nonjudgmental, safe and private environment for clients to build up their creativity, strength and resilience through freely express their emotion with art.
