Growing doesn’t mean disappearing. It means expanding.
I first designed this pointed figure (The Tall One) in 2017. Back then, it was a way for me to express how I resonate with my clients’ process.
English is my second language, so finding the words to explain this deeply can feel heavy. But what words cannot carry, the image does:
🤍 The Tall One is the Collective Inner Child.
This is the part of us that has grown. Over the years, they have built the capacity to stand tall and face the world, even the mask on the head is always stand by.
🧶 The Little One is the Raw Feeling.
This represents the “Big Feelings” that still come up. Even when we are grown, these feelings can be heavy. Their hair drags on the floor because it carries the weight of history.
Throughout my 12 years of art therapy practice, I have witnessed this growth. I see my clients growing with their inner child. They don’t get rid of the Little One; they just develop the strength to hold them.
🤝💗We grow with our feelings, not out of them.
🧶 小個子 (The Little One) 是「原始的感受」。
The Way We Art transforming the way we are. 💗
